I am Brian Walter, Fire chief, Southern Cove Vol. Fire Co., I would like to thank the Bedford County Free Press for their coverage of our jailathon. Also the cameraman for his time to cover our event. Special thanks’ to D.A. Bill Higgins, Commissioner Steve Howsare, Chad Clark, & Kim Imes for their time to make our event a great success. We here in the cove have spent a lot of time to change the old Replogle school into a Disaster relief shelter. The only thing left is a nice restroom down stairs; with the help of the community it will get done. By the way, D.A. Higgins was the first one out, But I beat him on donation’s collected, I have $830.00 in donations, thanks to all who made donations.
