  no doubt about dan howsare’s weakness, rather than apply the law, he enacted his own law. i believe that in his own self analysis he became aware of this and figured it’s time to hang up the robe, even though he is still a young man and the judgeship was his to keep until death.
  however, and this goes to character . and you can bet the farm on this : he never has and never would desecrate his bench for a 2:am tryst.

  and as far as judge howsare being degraded you need to be paying attention this judge has gone by his own rules for 25 years and could careless about people rights, so while you are still kicking the D.A. you might want to give a few kicks to the now retired judge howsare

  i’m wondering which d.a. we’re talking about here. bedford is “blessed” with three of them. the unholy 3 consists of two men and one woman. the chief prosecutor who can’t wait to win a death penalty case’. he carries the lethal injection needle in his hip pocket. now if he would be patient and just sit on it , we’d all be happy. the assistant deputy chief prosecutor who prosecutes all the difficult cases, earning his keep at $22,000 and the third member of this dynamic trio, assistant 2nd deputy chiefette who is the ghost writer for the motions, continuances, appeals and many plea bargains of this ‘ third reich” office.
  they think ‘sympathy” is a musical presentation at carnegie hall. that mercy is french for thanks and pity is a feature of a watermellon.
  this woman who lived with her retarded 15 year old son , were both deserted by her husband , the boy’s father. i don’t know of the torment that could have possibly consumed her but i imagine she served a purgatory on earth. i’ll bet it won’t be long before his “father”, who was hiding out “deep in the heart of texas”, abandoms him to a home for the mentally disabled. your office should send him a “t.shirt”.
  i believe judge howsare has trouble applying the law because of his feelings for the unfortunate. that is a weaknes that is unacceptable in a “finder of fact”. ‘ i heard him say that the most difficult duty of his judgeship was in sentencing young girls to prison terms .
  todays papers show our d.a. politicking, as usual, by his ungoing degrading of judge howsare. the judge was asked , “what do you think of bedford’s prosecutor. what must you think of his continous berating of your 25 years on the bench ? ” his reply, “but i don’t think of him.”

  Did you even READ the petitions and court orders for these cases BABE???????? Do you even know or read any of the FACTS of these cases BABE???? Oh wait, by your post you did not because your post is entirely stupid! These people who were CONVICTED and the convictions UPHELD on appeal never served their sentences! So according to your own stupid little list of 4 items they never made it to number 4!! Here’s a big DUH for you! So you see the D.A. was DOING HIS JOB! Now, why don’t you be good little girl and go back to playing with your barbies. K????

  let’s see if i got this straight…. 1. the police arrest law violaters, 2. the district attorney prosecutes them, 3. the judge sentences them and 4. depending on the decision of #3, the jail warden locks them in a cell. however here in bedford county we have a d.a. , who very possibly just “might” be electioneering, who insists on taking over and dictating sentencing from the #3 spot. this is the same d.a. who instituted the “public punishment” phase (joke) a while back. remember ? it went over like a f- – t in church. due to the great enthusiasm of this revolutionary idea the county is now stuck with a warehouse full of quaint gadgets like pillories (wooden head&hand racks) . leather whips, noose ropes and golf size stones for people, without sin, to throw. any buyers out there ?
