I am sure we all have seen the story of Mary and Columbia gas. Mary a 67 year old, passionate person lost her fight with Columbia Gas. When talking with Mary, you can see the pain and aggravation in her eyes and hear it in her voice.

Mary will tell you “I am not the smartest person, but, I know this is wrong. “When do people, judges, landowners, and are elected officials step forward, to see that this is so wrong? Am I facing another Clearville?

Clearville, not far from Mary’s was taken over by another gas storage company. Landowners also fought to keep the property rights, and lost their land also.

When do people realize that this wrong? How can you have property that you pay high taxes on, up keep, to have the government just take it? Pennsylvania is allowing these companies to come to our state pay land owners .50 cents to maybe$ 2 dollars and acre, and the gas companies are allowed to walk all over our properties, pollute our waters, air, and, they make millions of dollars, off of the land owners. When does the law go back to the land owners?

Mary McConnell might go down in history as being a 67 year old widow, which took on Columbia gas, but, she has more back bone then other landowners that don’t say a word.

Mary, go get them!!!!!

*just hours after Columbia Gas was granted access to Mary’s property, Columbia Gas wants to meet with Mary Friday. Mary said, it’s kind of funny, not a one of them wanted to talk to me before, now they want to talk!
