For some time now the Free Press has been reporting the FACT that; The Bedford County Taxpayers Association was not listed or known to: any agency of the County,State or Federal Government. Much confusion has come from the Taxpayers repeated claims that they were a recognized no-profit organization. The Taxpayers first stated at it’s May,2009 “Rally” that they were setting up a non-profit organization, and that donations would be tax-deductable. The full-page ads they released in the Gazette stated they were non-profit and tax-deductable. They have repeated stated to the Free Press and others that they were a 501(c)(3), on camera (as seen at commissioners meetings).

The PROOF is shown in the State Dept. printout below. The Taxpayers Association was “created” (meaning they filed paperwork for the first time) on Oct.13,2009.  Again, don’t believe what I say or what is contained in the printout from the State Dept., call Harrisburg, at;717-787-1057,or go online at Pa.Dept. of State, you’ll find the same answers there. While your at it, contact the Dept of State Bureau of Charitable Organizations / Investigations. This dept. has been investigating the Taxpayers for more than a month, if enough people contact them and ask why they have not concluded their investigation, maybe this will all come to an end much sooner.
