For some time now the Free Press has been reporting the FACT that; The Bedford County Taxpayers Association was not listed or known to: any agency of the County,State or Federal Government. Much confusion has come from the Taxpayers repeated claims that they were a recognized no-profit organization. The Taxpayers first stated at it’s May,2009 “Rally” that they were setting up a non-profit organization, and that donations would be tax-deductable. The full-page ads they released in the Gazette stated they were non-profit and tax-deductable. They have repeated stated to the Free Press and others that they were a 501(c)(3), on camera (as seen at commissioners meetings).
The PROOF is shown in the State Dept. printout below. The Taxpayers Association was “created” (meaning they filed paperwork for the first time) on Oct.13,2009. Again, don’t believe what I say or what is contained in the printout from the State Dept., call Harrisburg, at;717-787-1057,or go online at Pa.Dept. of State, you’ll find the same answers there. While your at it, contact the Dept of State Bureau of Charitable Organizations / Investigations. This dept. has been investigating the Taxpayers for more than a month, if enough people contact them and ask why they have not concluded their investigation, maybe this will all come to an end much sooner.

WHERE DID CHALFANT THINK HE WOULD GO WITH COMM. EBERSOLE’S LOW ASSESSMENT ON HIS FISH HOUSE ? C.A.MELISSA STULTZ JUMPED TO THE COMMISSIONER’S DEFENSE AND TO ALSO REMOVE ANY WRONG DOINGS ON HER PART. SHE USED THE OLD FOOTBALL ADAGE. ” THE BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE “. NOT ONLY WAS GARY PAYING A LOWER TAX RATE, HE SHOULD APPEAL IT FOR BEING TOO HIGH. NO WAY WAS THE “FIX” IN. HE WAS ACTUALLY GETTING SCREWED “. YEAH RIGHT.

Susan, They were told that they had to do that. THEY wouldn’t listen, sorry about their luck.
I bet what they are going to try to do is dissolve the existing club and become someone else. Tuesday’s paper page 7, read and see what you think. But they will still be in trouble no matter how you look at it. Stealing is stealing whether from a 9yr old or a 90 yr old. SO BOYS !!!! Here’s your sign. Hope we get to throw tomatoes at them !

I don’t get it, what does a “no comment” comment have anything to do with me?
I’ve made plenty of comments and have entered into a spirited debate with
anyone who seeks it.

dan harnish thinks he is bigger then the sunshine act, reading a letter telling someone you cant record them in a public meeting without their permission will not get you a ticket off camera mr. harnish, one more time harnish a member of the assoc has tried getting the free press to have it’s camera turned off without success, wonder why tom o’neal did not take the opportunity to tell the county that he did not take donations illegally, when asked he pulled the no comment act that rafter likes so well

Yes Bedford County Residents, the taxPLAYERS have been advertising that they’ve been up and running LEGITIMATELY since they started. NOT!
Someone forgot to tell them they needed to CREATE THEIR NAME 1st!
Well, well, well. They didn’t even bother to CREATE their name as an ENTITY until OCTOBER 13th!!!
They are in BIG TROUBLE NOW, the frauds!
I bet they are NOW trying to SNEAK IN their application for non-profit tax status to the IRS, all done under the innocent noses of our County Residents.
You people that gave donations BEFORE they LEGALLY get their 501 (c) 3: Well, you might as well wipe your butts with your cancelled checks or receipts. The paperwork will never go through the IRS for their 501 (c) 3 BEFORE the end of the year now. It takes MONTHS to approve these, PLUS, the IRS will investigate the association name.
THEY’RE ALREADY BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE PA BUSINESS CORPORATION BUREAU!
Make sure you all remember who to thank for lying to all of you. Give Chalfant & O’NEAL a phone call, their wives won’t mind. They think their A$$HOLES too!
Bye-bye TaxPLAYERS association, bye-bye!!!
